Description
A quick, no-bake style snack featuring crispy cinnamon-sugar tortilla chips served with a fresh, vibrant fruit salsa. Perfect for weeknight cravings or entertaining guests.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package (12 count) flour or corn tortillas
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- 1 large ripe mango, diced
- 1 cup strawberries, diced
- 1/2 cup blueberries
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 1 tablespoon honey or agave (optional)
- 2 tablespoons fresh mint leaves, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small shallow bowl, mix together the granulated sugar, cinnamon, and pinch of salt until evenly combined.
- Lay tortillas flat on the counter. Lightly brush both sides of each tortilla with melted butter, aiming for a thin, even coat.
- Dip each side of the buttered tortilla into the cinnamon sugar mixture, shaking off excess sugar. Place on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between chips.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are golden brown and crispy. Keep a close eye on them after 8 minutes to prevent burning.
- While chips bake, dice the mango, strawberries, and blueberries. Combine in a mixing bowl with lime juice and honey (if using).
- Toss fruit gently to combine. Stir in chopped mint leaves.
- Let chips cool on the baking sheet for 2-3 minutes to crisp up further.
- Serve chips immediately with the fruit salsa on the side.
Notes
Chips crisp up as they cool, so do not worry if they seem slightly soft when removed from the oven. For maximum crunch, let them cool completely. If chips get soft later, reheat in a 300°F oven for 3-5 minutes. Use ripe fruit for the best salsa flavor. Gluten-free and dairy-free variations are possible by swapping tortillas and butter.
